China will build its longest cable into a tourist site
A cable of 2 685 meters, the longest in China, will enter service in the picturesque mountain Mingyue in Yichun City of Jiangxi Province (east China).
The mountain is a park of national forest, renowned for its dramatic cliffs, waterfalls, pine trees and fantastic rocks with strange shapes, as well as birds and rare animals.
With an estimated investment of 19.5 million yuan (2.3 million), the cable is vertical relative altitude of 1 098 meters, according to an official with the Administrative Office of the mountains.
The official added that the cable will go into operation May 10
