China opens more and more banking sector, particularly in the west and north-east.

According to a report released Wednesday by the Regulatory Commission China Banking, China will allow more foreign banks to provide Renminbi services in the following cities: Kunming, capital of Yunnan province (southwest) , Beijing, Xiamen, a coastal city in Fujian province (east), Xi’an, capital of Shaanxi province (northwest) and Shenyang, capital of Liaoning Province (northeast) .

This brings to 18 the number of Chinese cities where foreign banks are allowed to offer services in Renminbi.
