Sunday at 7 pm 20, 166 miners were still trapped after a gas blast that occurred in the Chenjiashan coal mine in Tongchuan, Shaanxi Province in Northwest China, while 127 miners were able to return surface, said China Radio International.

Eight miners were trapped for twenty hours because of flooding in the central province of Henan, it was learned from the provincial bureau of production safety.
