Indian companies actively participate in the Asia-Pacific Partnership on Clean Development and Climate (APP) cooperation project
According to India’s “Economic Times” August 27, 2006 reported that the NTPC, SAIL, TATA, BHEL and ACC and other large enterprises under the influence of Indian enterprises to actively participate in the Asia-Pacific Partnership for Clean Development (APP) under the cooperation projects. APP Government of India will participate in the project companies to develop cleaner production technologies for financial and tax concessions.
It is reported that the Asia-Pacific Partnership on Clean Development and Climate (APP) is the United States, India, Korea, Australia, Japan and China and other six countries set up a project aimed at reducing greenhouse gas emissions, international cooperation projects. China has in July 2005 to join APP.
APP will be in the cement, steel, clean energy, re-use of energy, power generation, aluminum, coal, construction industry, the establishment of eight state-owned enterprises and private enterprises together form a working group to explore and develop to achieve the clean development of the specific plan.
