Serbia-Montenegro and the United States signed Wednesday an agreement for military cooperation in the fight against the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction and to promote military relations and defense.

The agreement, signed by the Serbo-Montenegrin Minister of Defense Zoran Stankovic and U.S. Ambassador Michael Polt, is an important step towards establishing a strategic partnership between the two countries said in a statement Department of Defense.
