China on Tuesday urged the United States to relax its restrictions on exports of high and new technologies to China because they are important in bilateral trade.

China hopes the United States to abandon the ideology of ‘Cold War’ and continuously releasing its restrictions on exports of high and new technoloqies to China from the perspective of bilateral and strategic relations , said Liu Jianchao, spokesman of Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs (EA) at a press conference.

Strengthening cooperation in the field of high and new technology represents the interests of both countries and is also awaiting the enterprises of both countries, said Liu.

According to Liu, the Chinese Ministry of Commerce and the Department of Commerce United States made some progress in cooperation of high and new technology and strategic trade. China hopes that both sides can maintain a growth momentum and further increase mutual trust.
