Yunnan opening to traffic of a highway
The first highway through the tropical forests of Yunnan province (southwest) has just been opened to traffic.
The highway leading from the city of Simao to reach Xiaomengyang in the Department of Xishuangbanna Tai Autonomous spans 97.7 kilometers. Compared to the old road, the journey has been reduced by 24.6 kilometers, to make the trip in 1:30 against four hours earlier.
The construction of this highway were initiated in June 2003 with an investment of 3.995 billion yuan.
This highway is a section of the vast international route between the city of Kunming, capital of Yunnan, and the city of Bangkok, Thai capital.

通过云南省（西南）的第一个热带雨林高速公路刚刚通车。
这条公路从思茅市领先，达到了自治区西双版纳大跨度小勐养九十七点七公里处。相对于旧路，旅程减少了24.6公里，使对在1:30前4个小时行程。
该公路建设，发起了2003年6月的39.95亿元的投资。
这条公路是广大昆明之间，云南首都，曼谷，泰国首都城市的国际航线部分。
