South Korea: a woman named as Prime Minister
The South Korean president, Roh Moo-hyun, on Friday named Han Myung-sook, a member of the Uri Party (in power), as Prime Minister, as the Presidential Office.
If the appointment of Ms. Han is approved by the National Assembly, it will be the first woman to become prime minister.
