Sharon will be transferred to a hospital in Tel Aviv next week
Former Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon, who fell into a coma since January after a stroke, should be transferred early next week in a hospital in Tel Aviv, reported Thursday the local newspaper The Jerusalem Post.
“Prime Minister Ariel Sharon will be transferred to Hadassah Hospital in Jerusalem at Shiba Medical Center in Tel Hashomer hospital in Tel Aviv border, the newspaper reported, quoting a statement issued by the Hadassah Hospital in Jerusalem, where Sharon is receiving medical care.
Experts from hospital in Tel Hashomer discussed with Sharon’s doctors and experts at Hadassah Hospital in Jerusalem for several weeks on the transfer of Mr. Sharon, aged 78 years.
Sharon underwent surgery following a brain hemorrhage acute January 4, but has not regained consciousness since.
The experts indicated that the inability of Mr. Sharon to regain consciousness meant his chances were slim to restore.
