Secretary of State Christopher Hill U.S. Assistant will meet with Chinese Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs in Beijing Thursday, said on Thursday Fen Rong from the Embassy of the United States in China.

Hill, U.S. chief also talks on the nuclear crisis of the Korean Peninsula, will talk with his Chinese counterpart on the resumption of talks, said the spokesman of Foreign Ministry Liu Jianchao at d ‘ a regular news briefing.

Hill, who arrived here Wednesday night, will stay in Beijing for a day and leave on Thursday.

According to media reports, Hill had hinted in Kuala Lumpur before his departure for China and the United States would make no further efforts to persuade the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) to return to the negotiating table.

The talks, involving China, DPRK, the United States, the Republic of Korea, Russia and Japan have been suspended since the first stage of the 4th round of talks held last November .

A statement was issued at the end of the first phase of negotiations, during which the parties concerned agreed to resume talks as soon as possible.
